A Bride's Words

This time of my life has actually come.
This time that was non existence to some.

I look into the eyes of you next to me.
an unconditional love is what I see.

Forever and a day, I have often pondered the thoughts of you.
Someone who sees and loves me as I am as you do.

Often times over the years I lost to loneliness, half of my heart,
That would remind me that you were the one, out there holding the other part.

The other part that needed mending to make it from broken to whole.
To remind me that it was not just my heart that you'll have, but my soul.

There were times in the back of my mind I would wonder if I ever really would become a bride
I couldn't understand why someone wasn't snatching me up to his side

But the question remained, was there really some one there and how would I know?
'Oh, you'll just know', everyone would remind me of how the magical phrase would go.

Well the years kept on coming and going right on by.
Full or seasons, holidays, birthdays and lots of good night tears to cry.

I would say my prayers at night, asking the good Lord to bring my man to me.
And when he never came I had to look hard for the message that He wanted me to see.

My prayers then would change to asking for the graces to accept this single life as my will.
I accepted that this was my destiny and that know matter what, that happiness would hold still.

Then it happened, they were right, when you know, you definitely do.
One magical day, someone opened the door to my heart, I didn't even know was there, and that someone was you.

The reason I know this is because everything about you is pure.
Your all, especially, the way you make me look at you and say, 'you're for me, I'm sure'.

You are good, when everything else is bad.
You are happy when everything else is sad.

You are warm, when everything else is cold.
You are together when everything else is pulled.

You are strong, when everything is weak.
You are confident when everything else is meek.

You are faithful when everything else seems lost.
You are there always no matter what the cost.

You have become the other part of what my life is suppose to be,
You are the one I promise to love for all eternity.

Every day I thank God for He has blessed me with you to be a part of my life.
But I will never be able to thank Him enough for allowing me to become your wife.

I love you with all I have to love forever.
No matter how hard things may get, we will remain together.

From the day we were born, the union in marriage is what God had planned for us
We promise to Him in gratefulness to make staying together always a must.

To Hear and Feel A Mother's Love

The voice of a mother has been heard in and from many tones
From loud, soft, high, low, in letters, emails and telephones
There are voices of a mother of many shades of color
There are tones of brighter, then of course the tones of duller
red for mad
blue for sad
green for growing
yellow for glowing
purple for laughter
and rainbows for lots of chatter
Whatever the sound or shade may be,
a mother is a beautiful voice in deed.
A mother s voice of words comforts, with love and understanding
Guiding, supporting, teaching and abiding
A mother has two voices that are especially dear
Her own as well as the growing  life inside her, that only she can  hear.
She speaks for nine months to a special angel God gave to her
She senses an everlasting love creating from her womb she's sure
What a special role a woman is given to fulfill
To be a mother and knowing it's from a higher will.
God gave me to my mother and my mother to me
A relationship that is so special and always will be
I've seen my mother over the years sacrifice her life
As a daughter, a mother, a niece, a friend, and a wife.
I've have seen my mother give love and patience more than I ever knew one would
She has stood by much difficulty even when I thought she no longer could
I made mistakes and lost my way in my life and felt alone and scared
I even was so sad that I didn't think my mother cared
But it was always her voice I heard in my heart
That voice she left for me, through God, when I was in her womb from the start
What an incredible angel God created in my mother for me
I will always hear her voice and feel her love even when I may not see
My mother is a gift from God to me, and I can only hope I can be a gift back to her in some way
I want her to know that she is a huge part of what I say, think, do and feel every day.
It really isn't about words when I tell her how I feel
It is about who I am, what I do, how I treat others, only because of her, and that is very real.
I love you mom, forever, how much I hope you know
You have imprinted my heart, I can only hope it will always show
Because of you, I am and will work hard to always be what I want to be
And because of you I thank God I am your daughter, and so thankful I am me.
